Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Warns of “Horrible Nuclear War” in Direct Broadcast to Iranian People

Jerusalem, Israel – In an unprecedented move, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to the airwaves in a direct broadcast to the people of Iran, warning them of the dire consequences that would follow if their country acquired nuclear weapons.
In a speech broadcast on major news networks across the world, Netanyahu spoke in Persian, addressing the Iranian people directly. “I speak to you today not as an enemy, but as a friend,” he said. “I want to warn you of the terrible danger that lies ahead if your country continues on its current path.”
Netanyahu went on to describe a scenario in which Iran would acquire nuclear weapons and use them against Israel, triggering a devastating war in the region. “This is not a hypothetical scenario,” he said. “It is a very real possibility, and the consequences would be horrible for all of us.”
The former prime minister’s warning came amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with both countries ramping up their military capabilities in recent years. Israel has long been concerned about Iran’s nuclear program, which it believes is aimed at developing atomic weapons. Iran, for its part, has repeatedly denied that it is seeking nuclear weapons and has accused Israel of exaggerating the threat in order to justify its own military actions.
Netanyahu’s broadcast was met with mixed reactions in Israel, with some praising his efforts to reach out to the Iranian people and others criticizing his tactics. Some observers also questioned whether Netanyahu’s message would have any impact on Iran’s leaders, who have long been hostile to Israel.
Despite the criticism, Netanyahu remained steadfast in his message, urging the Iranian people to take action to prevent their country from acquiring nuclear weapons. “I urge you to rise up against this dangerous path and demand that your leaders abandon their pursuit of nuclear weapons,” he said. “Only then can we avoid a terrible nuclear war that would have catastrophic consequences for all of us.”
