DMCA Notice and Takedown Policy

ChristianLens Media Inc. · Last updated October 13, 2026

ChristianLens respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Site to do the same. Under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. Section 512, the "DMCA"), we respond to notices of alleged infringement and may remove or disable access to material we believe, in good faith, to be infringing.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that material available on this Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent. Under the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:

  • Your physical or electronic signature (a typed name is accepted for electronic notices).
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the specific URL or URLs on christianlens.org where it appears.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Send your notice to info@christianlens.org with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Incomplete notices may delay processing.

Our Response

When we receive a notice that complies with the DMCA, we will review it promptly. Where a notice appears valid, we will remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the affected contributor, and may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the access of users who are repeat infringers.

We may ask a complainant to supply additional information if a notice is materially incomplete.

Counter-Notification

If you are the contributor of material that has been removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. It must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location (URL) where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, telephone number and email address, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found), and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice.

Send counter-notifications to info@christianlens.org with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice". If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may reinstate the material within the statutory period unless the original complainant files a court action.

Abuse of This Process

Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please consider whether fair use or a licence applies before filing a notice.
