Dark Seasons: Christians In India Face Vicious Persecution.

Coronavirus shouldn’t be the only crisis the world should recover from. But the world must recover from it another crisis of persecution thrown on Christians around the world. Many countries in the world such country include Nigeria; where Christians have been continually facing attacks from Islam extremists and also China where the communist government in China have been ripping crosses from Christian Churches in China as they claimed that Christians were a threat to them.

These two countries have suffered severely from this persecution, however another extreme persecution has hit the territory of India.

Christians in India are facing horrific levels of violence from Hindu radical extremists. Despite the Coronavirus Lockdown in India, Christians have been hunted for their faith in Christ Jesus.
Over the past months, the main agenda of the Indian Government is to make the faith of Hinduism their major and one religion in India. Reports indicate that the four states of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Chhatisgarh are now the hotspot for hunting. Christians over there are being beaten, arrested, and killed. Christians would sometimes be wrongfully arrested for causing disharmony among places.

According to CBN, Prime Minister Modi was elected last year and he promised to make India more Hindu,” Nettleton said. “They believe that India is a Hindu nation, literally the soil is Hindu soil, and if you want to live there you should be a Hindu.

Looking at the scale, Modi is trying to turn Indian into one religious body which is Hindu.
Should Christians in other states worry about these persecutions? Is now the time to stand fast and hold our faith until death. Are we ready to die for our faith?
