“The Church I Grew Up In” sensational summarizes the entire inspiration behind the HYMNS album. According to the award-winning gospel artiste, the Church of God is still standing and there will always be a move of His power though our faith may be shaken. To her, the song is a great revival that reminds us of who we are and how the church matters.

“It’s a reminder that who we are matters, that the church is still alive. I think it’s important to remind people of that coming out of this pandemic. Even though our faith may have been shaken, God’s church is still alive and His power is still here. The song captures everything I want this album to say.” Tasha Cobbs.

The upcoming album was captured in front of more than 3,000 live audiences at the Greenwood Oasis on the campus of New Life Southeast in Chicago. The tracks on the album featured numerous guests, including The Walls Group, Mary Mary, Kierra Sheard, Hudson Jennifer, and many more.

The album is so packed and amazingly done as it focused on many genres that are Christocentric telling us about the love and grace of our King Jesus. HYMNS tell us everything from worship to Gospel, flowing to country, pop, and R&B.
