Lauren Daigle Drops Highly Anticipated Single ‘Thank God I Do’ Ahead of Two-Part Album Release
Lauren Daigle, an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter, has released the first single from her upcoming album, which is set to drop in two parts. The album is highly anticipated by her fans, who have been eagerly awaiting new music from her. This release marks a significant milestone in her career as she continues to expand her musical horizons.
The new single, “Thank God I Do,” is a piano ballad that expresses gratitude for knowing God and the people he brings into our lives to support us through various seasons.
Daigle’s self-titled album will feature ten songs that will be released on May 12, with the remaining tracks set to debut later in 2023. Her 2018 album, “Look Up Child,” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and she has achieved platinum or platinum-plus certification for nine of her singles, including “You Say.”
The inspiration for “Thank God I Do” came during the COVID-19 lockdowns when Daigle started several girls’ groups to stay connected with friends. The online gatherings allowed her to reconnect with people she hadn’t spoken to in a while, leading to a realization that God places specific people in our lives for specific reasons. In the single, Daigle expresses her gratitude for the joy of being in a relationship with God and the support of the right people at the right time.
Daigle’s latest release showcases her talent and dedication to creating meaningful and inspiring music. The singer’s previous works have garnered critical acclaim and commercial success, and her latest offering is expected to follow in the same vein.
Overall, Daigle’s new single is a promising preview of what’s to come from her highly anticipated album. Fans of the artist can look forward to more of her signature sound and meaningful lyrics in the near future.
Fans of the Grammy-winning Christian artist are eagerly anticipating the release of the album’s second part, which promises to deliver even more of Daigle’s signature sound. With this release, Daigle proves that she is still a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
