Dolly Parton, Candace Cameron Bure, and ‘The Chosen’ Win Big at the 30th Annual Movieguide Awards

The 30th Annual Movieguide Awards ceremony was held on Friday night at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. The event celebrated the best of faith and family-friendly movies and television programs.

Actress Candace Cameron Bure was one of the big winners of the night. She took home the Grace Prize for Most Inspiring Performance for her role in the Hallmark movie “If I Only Had Christmas.” The Grace Prize recognizes performances that “uplift and inspire audiences” with “positive and redemptive values.

Country music legend Dolly Parton also received an award for her role in the Netflix movie “Christmas on the Square.” Parton was presented with the Visionary Award for her commitment to creating family-friendly content that is both entertaining and inspiring.

The night’s big winner was the series “The Chosen,” which won Best TV Series and the Epiphany Prize for Television. The show, which tells the story of the life of Jesus Christ, has become a hit with audiences worldwide. The Epiphany Prize is awarded to programs that “help viewers see their lives in a new light.”

Other winners of the night included the movie “2 Hearts,” which won the Faith & Freedom Award for Movies, and the TV movie “Christmas Waltz,” which won the Best Movie Award.

The Movieguide Awards is an annual event that seeks to promote family-friendly content in the entertainment industry. The event was founded by Dr. Ted Baehr, a Christian film critic and author, who believes that movies and television programs can have a positive impact on society by promoting positive values.

This year’s ceremony was attended by a number of Hollywood stars, including Kevin Sorbo, who served as the evening’s host. The event also featured musical performances by Christian artists Michael W. Smith and Phil Wickham.

In his opening remarks, Baehr highlighted the importance of promoting faith and family-friendly content in a world that is increasingly hostile to these values. He called on Hollywood to continue to produce movies and television programs that promote positive values and inspire audiences to live better lives.

The 30th Annual Movieguide Awards was a night of celebration for the entertainment industry and a reminder of the power of faith and family-friendly content. As Hollywood continues to grapple with the challenges of producing quality content that resonates with audiences, events like the Movieguide Awards serve as a beacon of hope and a reminder that positive values can make a difference in the world.
